Love of God
"Therefore be followers of God, as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us..." Eph. 1:1-2 (MKJV)
The love of God is the heart and soul of the Christian life. God is love and we too should be love. And love of God is so very important if we are to grow in the Lord.
"Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. " Matt. 22:37 (MKJV)
We are to dedicate our entire being our entire essence into loving God. Heart, soul, and mind working in unison to achieve a state of constant prayer and love in ourselves. We need to meditate daily on the shear awesomeness of God. On all his divine qualities. On how much He really loves us. In silent prayer we need to offer ourselves daily to God.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. " John 3:16 (MKJV)
A verse we all know so well that we almost take it for granted. Ponder it deeply each day for it is the cornerstone of our relation with God. God loved us so much He was willing to give up his only Son. What a powerful, all encompassing love.
And please don’t forget also, that the highest act of love we can show hear on earth is to lead others to eternal life
Oh Heavenly Father please send Your Spirit down upon us. Please bring us to a place in our lives where we can be a shining beacon of light and love to the world. Heal our pains and disappointment and make us a Holy vessel of Your love. In all things may You, our dear Lord be lifted up. May You get all the glory. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen
